Handmade Bushcraft Knife

This exceptional Bushcraft Knife was handmade (20 - 25 years ago) by Paul Baker, UK maker and fully refurbished and honed by Dan at World Outdoors. The handle was reshaped and the blade-grind/bevel altered for increased effectiveness for cutting wood and other demanding bushcraft tasks. I have accentuated the bottle-shape of the handle for a more comfortable grip in prolonged use.
The design is based on the classic Ray Mears- Woodlore specifications.
It is razor sharp and holds an edge extremely well.
The blade is crafted from O1 High-Carbon Tool-Steel with a 29 degree (approx) single bevelled edge, slightly convex for strength in splitting tasks.
The blade is a sturdy 4mm thick and is hardened to 58/59 Rockwell scale so it's tough enough to split logs and sharp enough to shave.
The handle is made from stabilised Birdseye Maple hardwood and has the most beautiful figuring & 'Birdseyes' of any maple we've seen in many examples of this iconic design.
The handmade leather sheath is double stitched and firmly holds the knife, well up over the handle.
